What is breast cancer?
A disease where cells in the breast grow out of control.

Facts

- Breast cancer can affect both men and women.
- For women there is a 1 in 8 chance of being diagnosed with breast cancer.
- Breast feeding reduces the risk of developing breast cancer.
Symptoms of Breast Cancer
- A lump or thickened breast tissue
- Change in shape and or size of breast
- Nipple discharge that is not milk
- Inverted (inward pointing) nipples
- Change in appearance such as dimpling of breast skin
- Rash on or around the nipple
- Change in texture or color of the nipple area or breast
Be Observant
Observing your breasts regularly can help in early detection and prevent cancer from spreading.
